Wasatch Behavioral Health - Vantage Point Youth Service Center

Youth Crisis Shelter and Juvenile Receiving Center. Provides a short term (48 hours, may be extended for homeless youth) voluntary facility where youth ages 11-17 who are experiencing trouble at home, high-risk or homeless may come for refuge, evaluation, and counseling. Also offers a five week anger management class for youth.

Description:

Provides short-term shelter and time-out placement for vulnerable adolescents, as well as crisis intervention and family counseling. This includes runaway and homeless youth, or youth at risk to become so. Youth can be admitted by parents, law enforcement, or by youth themselves.

Eligibility:
Youth ages 11-17 who are runaways, high-risk or homeless. Youth can be dropped off at any time and stay for up to 48 hours. Time may be extended for homeless youth.
Service Hours:
24/7
Intake Procedure:
Youth can be dropped off anytime or can call for details about services or to obtain additional information.
Fees:
There is no cost directly to the consumer of the services and no insurance is necessary. After 48 hours the stay is then $40 (A therapist approval is needed for stay over 48 hours -- except homeless youth).
