Volunteers are needed who are willing to work full days, and/or weekends. Needs to be willing to bring personal tools as needed, desire to work closely with others in a 'safety first' environment, and are passionate about helping others improve their homes and lives.
Provides essential home renovation/rehabilitation services to maintain a safe living environment.
Home rehabilitation projects require significant use of donated labor. Homeowners contribute 'sweat equity' and 'pay forward' the cost of materials (no interest) on terms that fit individuals' monthly budgets, which are then used to fund the next family's project.
Provides Home Barrier Evaluation/Removal services to facilitate a safe living environment for people with disabilities. Services include installing wheelchair ramps, railings, bathroom grab bars, etc.
Provides general yard work for elderly people, disabled people, and others in need. Services may include extensive yard clean-up if an individual has received a citation from the city about the condition of their yard. Services do not include routine lawn mowing or care.
